Alex Brindley's full time role is Manx Radio's Controller of Programming and Content. Whilst primarily focussing on radio in his day to day job, he has a background in video/film production on the island having produced a number of local documentaries before joining the radio station.
Away from the airwaves, Alex is married with a child and has a passion for a variety of aspects of island life. He is an accomplished musician on the piano and trombone, having spent many years performing with the Ramsey Town Band. He is no stranger to other areas of performing arts having written, directed and performed a number of stage productions at the Gaiety Theatre over the years, most recently directing a string of successful TV comedy adaptations for the Service Players. In his very little spare time he indulges his passion for railways, being one of the volunteers who continue to restore the Groudle Glen Railway.
