Laura Rowles

Laura has a first class music degree, and a PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Liverpool. She was the first Musician in Residence at King William's College, but left to start her own business. Laura founded the music education business, Mannin Music, in 2012. She has also trained as a Kodaly music teacher, specialising in early years music. With her husband, Dave, they have recently brought The Rock Project to the Island. Laura has worked with Culture Vannin to produce violin and viola tutors of Manx music that are currently used in the Island schools. Laura volunteers as part of the Yn Chruinnaght committee, and has over 10 years experience of running festivals.

Laura has been on the Arts Council since 2014 and has worked with music organisations, in one instance helping with rebranding of an organisation, and advising on marketing and social media.
