Callum Brew

Inspirations have been the likes of Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi, Dermot Kennedy and quite recently, Sam Fender.

I started out in Open Mic Nights at Riffs @ Quids Inn and since that moment, I have been a regular musician at Quids, the Crosby and I try to be involved in as many open mics as possible.

I only started playing guitar in April/May 2020 and my progress at playing guitar in public since August 2020 has made me a better artist for the fact my family and friends have been supportive of since the moment I realised that I needed to start playing guitar.

I participated in the Motiv8 Online Charity Gig, sponsored by Quids Inn performing a range of songs from Tom Walker, Ed Sheeran and My own content. We had raised £3,020 for Motiv8.

Diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome (mild autism) aged 11 and throughout my school life, I was bullied heavily and often the other student got me in trouble just because I was being myself. What these teacher didn't realise at any actions I would do is just me trying to become like everyone else. I have been raised my mum, Julie, Dad, Colin and 2 older sisters Rhiannon and Graihagh, who lives in the UK. I have always been different and I like to use my differences to the fact that I have a lot of friends who have been supporting me as during my high school years, they could see I was struggling.

I have previously studied at Performing Arts, as my sister had been heavily influenced by Musical Theatre and inspired me to an extent to do Theatre.
I have had great opportunities to travel to Bayreuth Germany and Kecskemet, Hungary on Exchange Trips and have made new friends along the way. Kecskemet is the home of the Csipero Youth Festival, a youth event dedicated to different music and cultures and Christa McCartney decided to for a 'Magic Choir' to travel to Hungary for this festival and I had the amazing opportunity of being a part of this group, taking our Manx Traditional Culture and Songs to a place that Christa hold very dear to her heart as that is where she studied.

Since 2018, I have been Performing Cover Songs of Pop, Rock and Folk Music, and In late 2019/early 2020, I have been staring to writing Original Songs, to express my own emotions, and spread the word of Autism Awareness.

In February 2021, I made the Headlines because of an UCM Event that took place, that was based on "Protest Music", and I chose to write a Song, named 'Kicking Autism'. In July 2021, My first professional Single, Maple Spirit was Released with Power On Music.

2022 is hopefully going to be a big year for me, especially as I have been struggling with Mental Health issues, but I'm hopeful that with people but myself side, I am hopeful that my Music will be recognised more by the Public,
