Matthew Warren

Matthew Warren is a composer, conductor and lecturer.

As a composer, Matthew has written for a variety of different ensembles but has a particular speciality in choral and instrumental classical music. Amongst others, he has been commissioned by Culture Vannin to write two film soundtracks for their project Mann's Green Footsteps and in 2024 won both the Arrane son Mannin and Aundyr Brian Stowell awards for new music in Manx. He lecturers in music and creative practice at UCM and has lectured at Durham University.

He is also the musical director of the Tallis Consort.

Matthew graduated from Durham University (BA in Music, MA in Composition, PhD in the Sociology of Music) and is co-director of Earthscope Isle of Man
