Mrs Yorkshire the Baking Bard

I am a published, performing poet and I write and perform under the name Mrs Yorkshire the Baking Bard. My poetry is of the rhyming variety with strict metre. My poems vary from humorous and heartwarming to tackling sensitive subjects such as homelessness and abuse.

I have featured in many local and national newspapers, in magazines and on Channel 5's daytime shows The Wright Stuff and The Jeremy Vine Show. I also have a regular slot on Manx Radio's Late Lunch reading my poetry.

I am regularly invited into both primary and secondary schools to give poetry workshops and I perform at charity and corporate events, performing a stand up comedy in rhyme style.

I have a large following on social media, particularly on my public Facebook page Mrs Yorkshire the Baking Bard. I am on Twitter and Instagram and also have my own YouTube channel.
