Rowan Corlett
As a child I was always drawing and creating as a way to express myself. Living on an island, surrounded by sea and the picturesque Manx countryside, helped my imagination grow. My work from the very beginning was always of serene landscapes and all the animals that I adored. After completing the Art and Design Foundation course at UCM, where I developed a love of printing techniques to create intricate textures, I went on to graduate from University College Falmouth in 2011 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Illustration degree. Falmouth became an inspirational place for me and was key to the style of illustration I have today. I enjoy working with a variety of media such as gouache, pen, collage and digital paint work (Adobe Photoshop and Procreate) with rich, autumnal colours. My images are a mix of textures with softer areas of detail using digital image creating software to pull everything together. www.rowancorlett.com
