Stacey Astill

Stacey Astill: Poet, librarian, and first living Manx Bard (she didn’t kill the first guy, he was already dead). Stacey has performed her work in festivals and cabarets from Brighton to Dundee, and was shortlisted for the 2019 Olive Lamming writing prize. She has been published in Dark Poets Club, Dreich, Ayaskala, and the forthcoming Lefty Anthology.

Stacey proposed the Isle of Man Poetry Map initiative and worked with Culture Vannin and Biosphere IOM to run the project. She has also written and performed poetry commissions for events from weddings to historical commemorations.

Unashamedly in love with words she uses poetry to explore snatches of the world she walks in, helping you walk along beside her. Everyone can take something from her performance, even if it’s only a giggle.
