Arts Aid Announces 2022 Awards Programme
Arts Aid is inviting applications for its 2022 scholarships for study in the arts. Arts Aid is a Manx charity offering financial assistance to Manx students.
Entering its fifth year of awards, Arts Aid is pleased once again to be able to offer scholarships to an increasing number of highly talented young people to attend courses at some of Britain’s most prestigious arts institutions. Funding is available for courses ranging from BTEC to master’s degree. Typically, Arts Aid scholarships are tenable for a one-year period; recipients pursuing multi-year courses may apply to be considered for renewal of their scholarship based on their performance.
Applicants for scholarships in 2022 should contact the Secretary by e-mail to request an application pack. They are encouraged to submit their application as early as possible and no later than 27 May. They should also have applied for a course at a suitable educational institution by the time of their application, although it is not necessary to have a confirmed place when first applying to Arts Aid.
David Wertheim, Chairman, said: “Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, students’ studies have been badly disrupted, yet they continue to show remarkable resilience. We are very proud of the way our Arts Aid scholarship recipients have handled the situation, especially those in the performing arts for whom this time has been particularly challenging. With high levels of vaccination and a reducing severity of infections, indications are that things are improving. We will continue to offer as much assistance as possible to our scholars.
Arts Aid is pleased to acknowledge the generous support received during the current year from ILS World, Ramsey Crookall, ZEDRA, the trustees of the WTC Brien, the Elizabeth Clucas and the J. R. Moore Charitable Trusts and private individuals, as well as continuing student travel assistance from Loganair.
Candidates wishing to apply for a scholarship should e-mail the Secretary to request an application pack at: applications@arts-aid.org.
Arts Aid was founded in 2018 with initial funding from the Isle of Man Arts Council.
