"Supporting local artisans enriches our environment by creating a feeling of camaraderie among the creators and those who appreciate art and crafts. Also local produce generally reflects the environment we live in - be it replicating a well-lived and often- visited scene or engendering a feeling to which locals immediately respond. It’s the time of year when families and friends come together, so buying local is a natural extension of that - coming together as a community."

Aossi

Aossi, made up of Fine Art duo Colette Gambell and Kate Jerry, create mixed media artworks including ceramics, prints and homewares in their creative studio situated at Pinewood Studios, next to Bishopscourt, Kirk Michael.
Aos Si' is the collaborative work of artists Colette Gambell and Kate Jerry. The word 'Aos-si' derives from the meaning/understanding that we are part of and not separate from the land we inhabit. In Celtic legends and mythology, the natural world is at centre stage and things in nature possess a spirit and presence of their own, including mountains, rocks, trees, rivers and all things of the land and the sea - a boundary between this world and the Otherworld. Kate and Colette's work has evolved with this in mind, to create something new, authentic and original.
