The Island’s much-loved alternative pantomime Treasure Island returns this December. And this year, Hello Little People are giving one lucky child the chance to become the official Voice of Panto.

For the first time, the theatre company is inviting a primary school–aged child to record the pre-show announcements that will play before every performance of Treasure Island at Port St Mary Town Hall from 20th - 27th December. The winner will join theatre-makers Chloe Shimmin and Michelle Jamieson in the rehearsal room to record the final audio, making them part of the production heard by hundreds of families this Christmas.

Michelle Jamieson, Co-Founder and Producer said: “We love making Island children feel involved in the creation of our work. Becoming the Voice of Panto is a brilliant opportunity for an imaginative young person to shine and to hear their voice echo around Port St Mary Town Hall before every show.”

Chloe Shimmin, Co-Founder and Creative Director added: “Our pantomimes celebrate Manx families and Manx children. This competition is another way to involve them directly in the magic. We can’t wait to hear the entries… the funnier, braver and more original, the better!”

How to Enter:
Parents or guardians are invited to send a short voice note of their child saying:

  1. Their name
  2. Their age
  3. And why they should be chosen as the Voice of Panto.
    Entries can be submitted via:
    ● Email: info@hellolittlepeople.com
    ● Facebook Messenger (Hello Little People)
    ● Instagram Message (@hellolittlepeople_)
The winner must be available to attend a short recording session at Port St Mary Town Hall on Wednesday 17th December (after school), accompanied by an adult.
  4. Deadline: Midday on Friday 12th December - Winner announced: Saturday 13th December

ABOUT TREASURE ISLAND
Performed by theatre-makers Chloe Shimmin and Michelle Jamieson, Treasure Island is a fast-paced, 60-minute Manx adventure featuring pirates, sea shanties, magic mermaids and plenty of chances for children to save the day.

All performances are fully relaxed, meaning children are welcome to move, shout and join in the action - a key part of Hello Little People’s inclusive approach to theatre.
