New acts announced for August SoundBites!!
We are thrilled to announce that three more acts have been confirmed for SoundBites to continue on throughout August!
If you've not yet got yourself down to one of these FREE gigs yet or watched our weekly live streams then you've got three more chances to rectify this!!
You can watch all our SoundBites sessions so far via our Facebook Video section or on YouTube.
Throughout August we can expect:
Ellie Quayle Music - 6th August
Ellie Quayle is a professional Composer, Performer and Songwriter from the Isle of Man.
I would describe my sound as a new Victoria Wood style. I write and perform a mixture of comedy, musical theatre, pop, rock and reggae. There is no style I don’t love writing in.
It is really important as a singer - songwriter to have an accessible free space to showcase their songs. As a writer of comedy songs, I think it is integral to have a space to try out new songs and ideas in front of a live audience.
From the gig, you can expect a range of genres, from classical to jazz, all with a little “Victoria Wood” twist. Lots of variety and lots of fun!

Adam Kelly Music - 13th August
Adam Kelly is a Based on the Isle of Man and has been playing guitar, writing songs and gigging for over ten years. Adam has fronted multiple bands such as T-Shirt Tan as well as performing solo.
My sound is pretty mixed when it comes to acoustic sets, I like to include a selection of chill and more upbeat songs.
Soundbites is a great project for supporting our local talent and provides a platform for artists of all genres to come and play a relaxed and enjoyable gig. I also think it’s a really nice opportunity for singer songwriters to perform in a more intimate and chilled setting, away from the loud and rowdy pubs that aren’t necessarily suited to everyone’s style.
For this gig I will be playing a mix of covers and originals, both chill and upbeat (and a few that may be unexpected!). I will also be performing an acoustic version of the upcoming single from my musical duo - Broken Rainbow (find us on Facebook and Instagram) so definitely worth coming for a listen!
