In a new creative writing competition, Bruno Cavellec invites you to choose your favourite digital artwork from his new exhibition 'My Mother’s Son' and submit a piece of writing inspired by that image.

With a limit of 500 words, the piece can be in the form of a short story, poem, prose or what inspires you when looking at the artwork.There will be two categories, one for children up to the age of 16 and one for adults. The competition will be judged by a panel of three acclaimed writers: Alan Bradley, best-selling author of the Flavia de Luce Mysteries series, award winning poet Janet Lees and Graham Hamer - Writer, the author of the Manx Connection series.

The winners in each category will receive their chosen signed, limited edition print framed. The winning stories will also be published in the newspaper and in the Isle of Man Arts Council newsletter: Croo, alongside a photo of you receiving your print.To enter the competition, simply choose an image from the selection below and submit your entry to Bruno's Facebook page using the Private Message option or email Bruno direct at bkvlec@hotmail.com. The deadline for submissions is the 27th November.

'My Mother’s Son' exhibition is on show at Isle Contemporary in Tynwald Mills until the Sunday 22nd November.
